What is the best way to get the crimp out? I have a RCBS single stage press.
I don’t like the idea of removing metal from the primer pocket.
^^^This^^^I use a reamer chucked into a case prep center. It's worked well on several thousand pieces of 5.56 and 7.62 brass.
I have a RCBS swaging kit also that mounts on a press similar to a die. It works great on my RCBS Rock Chucker II Press
I ended up with two of them for some reason. I gave one away, because it was horrible to use.
I preferred reaming over the RCBS press deal.
Dillon Super Swag is excellent, especially with the rubber band mod.
Rubber band mod?
I got the rcbs swage die. Just finished 400 5.56 I feel like this method is most consistent on my rock chucker. Getting the casing out of the die is a pain without lube. It’s surprising that little nipple can hold the casing as much as it does.
Yes I put the cup on but you really have to smack it without lube
