Also currently the firearms have been moved from his primary residence to another location? ie parents house. What if someone that owns firearms is renting a room from him?

No it isn't when it comes to possessing firearms.:mad54:

You are correct, but when someone comes here looking to assist their convicted felon friend in keeping their firearms, it makes a difference in determining if we as lawfull firearms owners see a reason to assist in the endeavor. Tax evasion vs armed robbery is a big jump. With the OPs reluctance to reveal makes me think the worse.

The pistol was a gift from his wife he does not want it taken from the "family" as it will be given to their kid. But the crime was nonviolent In nature if that is what you want to know.

Maybe I've got lower standards, but I still believe restrictions on gun ownership should be based on more than the word FELONY. Pushing a pencil on a balance sheet has no bearing on one's propensity toward committing violent acts. Driving a getaway car in a bank heist does.

Remember last session when Del Simmons I think it was, offered his PBJ amendment? That's an excellent example of how a single legal word or phrase can quickly become all encompassing.
