Here are the rules!

1. You will be parking at The New Holland Church of the Nazarene 428 Ranck
Road New Holland PA 17557. With the exception of certain Staff, there is no
parking permitted at The Club. You will board a van and be taken to
the Club.

2. Registration opens at 7:00am. The first shuttle will depart the Church at
approximately 7:30am. We plan on closing registration approximately 9:30am.

3. All long guns must be unloaded and cased during transport. Pistols may be
worn in a strong side holster but must be unloaded. No Loaded Firearms
are permitted on any transport vehicle. Please double check that all long
guns are unloaded with the magazines removed, and actions open prior to
being placed in their case. This will avoid any “oops” at the gear tent and an early trip home for you.

4. All shotgun ammunition is to be low brass with shot no larger than #7 1/2.
You will be shooting at steel plates so leave the big stuff at home. We will
be inspecting all shotgun ammo so don’t be that “guy or girl” that brings
buck shot or slugs. Only low brass 9, 8 or 7 ½ shot is permitted.

5. All shotguns must be pump or semi-auto. No other style of shotgun is
permitted.

6. All pistol holsters must be strong side. No cross draw, inside the waistband,
or shoulder holsters will be permitted. Please email us if you have specific
holster questions. Drop-leg holsters are permitted.

7. Lunch will be available for purchase for all shooters and guests. Water will be for sale at very reasonable prices. You are free to bring non-alcoholic beverages if
you’d like but it’s just more stuff you need to transport.

8. It goes without saying that no alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs are
permitted on site. Also, anyone suspected of being under the influence of
any alcoholic beverage or other substance will be removed from the site with no refund. For everyone's safety, please don’t make Friday September 21st your party night.

9. Shooting will commence at 0800hrs and conclude around 1600hrs.

10. All evolutions will be scored (except the machine gun stage). Prizes will be
awarded based on the lowest aggregate time. You must be present to win. We will not be shipping any prizes.

11. The good folks from The ZombieSquad.com are hosting a food drive. To
qualify for their prizes you need to bring two cans of non-perishable food to
registration. Food donations will go towards helping those in need in the
greater Lancaster County area.

12. All firearms are to be unloaded while on Club property until you are given
instructions to load and make ready by one of our RSO’s. This includes all
holstered pistols.

13. We will be making use of a large gear storage tent. Upon
arrival at the club, the gear storage area will be your first stop. Your items
will be tagged with your Contagion 2012 identification number. This
number will be located on your Contagion 2012 ID tag which will be issued
to you at registration. Please don’t lose your ID tag. You can visit the gear
storage area throughout the day as often as you like to stow or retrieve
items.

14. Chamber flags are required for all long guns being carried on Club property.
This goes for both rifles and shotguns. Pistols are required to be unloaded
and holstered when not in use.

15. NHRPC is a muzzle down club. All firearms must be transported muzzle down at all times when not in use. We strongly suggest the use of slings for transport. You are not permitted to rest the muzzle of your firearm on your shoe.

16. All rifles must be magazine fed, center fire, semi-automatics.

Contagion Update:

Guest passes are available for purchase for the low price of $5.00 each at registration. Please bring exact change. If you would like to visit us, please park at The New Holland Church of the Nazarene 428 Ranck Rd. New Holland, PA 17557. Our registration opens at 7:00am and closes at 10:00am. You will need eye and ear protection. You will also need to sign our waiver which will be available at Registration.

We will have vendors selling cool tactical and zombie themed stuff as well as a great barb-que truck to supply all your healthy favorites for lunch. You will be able to watch over 140 would be Zombie Hunters try their luck against ten formidable shooting evolutions.

Where else might you have the chance to fire a full auto 1919 or M-16 or turn the crank on a Bull Dog Gattling gun as featured in last year's Top Shot?

Just a word about scoring this year. For the first time we will be having an overall winner this year. We have been working on the scoring strategy this past week. We will be posting it after Labor Day. In short, you will be timed at each stage. There will be a maximum time limit for each stage. Once that's reached, you're done. You will record your score on a card and once you are done with all ten evolutions, you will turn your card in. ONLY YOUR FIRST RUN WILL BE COUNTED FOR SCORING PURPOSES. Look for more details shortly.

All scoring at Contagion 2012 will be based on time plus penalties.

Competitors time will start at either a timer beep or a command and then end at the last shot or by completing a specific action on the stage.

There will be a 10 second penalty for any non-neutralized targets or non-threat targets hit. Neutralization will be stage and target type specific and explained at the evolution by our range staff.

A maximum stage/par time will be in effect to keep the event moving smoothly.

If a competitor reaches the maximum time for a stage they will be asked to stop and the max time will be entered as their score.

If raw time plus penalties is greater than the maximum scored time, we will enter the maximum scored time.

Only a competitor's first run will count for score.

Times will be recorded on a card for the competitor and on a score sheet at the stage. We will collect the stage sheets routinely to have scoring entered into the system during the event.

Stages may involve required reloading. As such, an extreme capacity magazine may offer you no benefit. All rifle stages must be fired with your primary semi-automatic rifle for scoring purposes. You may use an alternate firearm only after you've shot the evolution for score.

The lowest total time for all ten evolutions wins. In the event of a tie the first time breaker is the lowest time on the air soft stage. Remember, you must be present to win any of our prizes. We will not be shipping any prizes. After most competitors have had a chance to complete the course of fire, we will open up the stages for repeat shooters. We anticipate this happening sometime after noon.

Folks, Every year we have a charity axe throw. It works like a 50/50. Those who are able to neutralize the Zombie with the axe are entered into a drawing to win 50% of the pot. We donate the rest to the Wounded Warrior Project. This year we will be spliting the donation between the Wounded Warrior Project and a fund set up to help the children of slain Police Offier and Marine Brad Fox. Officer Fox was killed in the line of duty last week in Plymouth Township. Please consider participating in the Axe Throw and know the proceeds are going to a great cause.
