Maybe someone can help me with this question. The rifle comes with the stock permanently welded so it can be considered a pistol. If you unweld it it is an sbr with all the expense and headaches that come with that. How about if I just had the stock removed. To make it a little lighter?
Also do you think the 762x25 or 9mm would be more reliable. Not that concerned with the ammo cost. thanks. Anyone have one for sale?

Yes I am Trying to get a better deal with my lgs

    That isn't a PPSh, it's a PPS.

Totally different firearm. Cheaper and easier to make quickly, especially during war when resources are scarce.

Somewhat analogous to the difference between a Thompson and a grease gun (M3).

I'm assuming since he said a permanently welded stock(doesn't unfold?), he meant the PPS-43 and not the PPSh4(below).

I have one that I SBR’d, its chambered in x25. I wish it was 9mm since ammo is cheaper and easier to find.

Its an ok rifle to shoot, the stock sucks and takes some getting use to and if you hold your face to far up on the stock you will scratch your glasses (i have three sets of glasses with scratches on them from the stock). Shooting the gun as a pistol with the stock folded is pretty lame.

When you remove or unfold the stock you will find that Pioneer Arms coated the gun with the stock folded and there is a portion of the gun that has an unpainted part on it. Not a big deal, but its there.

If you decide to SBR it, it a fun project.
