I put thirty years of skin in the game.

I left because of taxes, politics and Constitutional rights being trampled. Especially 2A.
I said as much in the comments.

Folks voting with their feet draws water.

Maryland's liberal politicians like sheep. They'll accept all the sheep of Mexico & El Salvadore before they worry about one strong ram leaving the flock.

One note, though. I would not have put "in response to the terrorist threats in Paris" in the title of the petition. I would have directly stated "in response to terrorist threats TO the citizens of Maryland". "Paris" hype will die down. ISIS is not going away.
