Neither agree nor disagree. Need more info. Better is too broad a term to make a choice between the two.

I lean toward the Glock since I'm not a big fan of slide-mounted safeties on pistols. OTOH, a Beretta is a Beretta. They're great handguns, no doubt about it.

Better made? It's a toss-up. Both are proven designs from great manufacturers.

Better for defense? Take your pick. Again, either one is a good choice.

    Better looking? Beretta. No contest.

Better trigger? Take your pick. Neither one is worth writing home about straight outta the box.

Can you narrow-down what you mean by 'better' for people, like me, who obsess over this kinda thing? :D

    Both are good guns..

One is metal, the other Tupperware...

    Both guns are battle tested...

One is heavier than the other...

IMO heavy metal guns deliver LESS felt recoil...

The real question is which one you can shoot better..?

I would go to an indoor gun range where you can rent both of them...

And I'd do that on 3 different occasions before buying either...

I asked the same question years ago, but skipped the rental part...

Everything I read said GLOCK so I bought a top of the line model G-34...

I hated it, sold it and have no regrets unloading it...

It was a good pistol that I simply did NOT like...

    Agree , but opposite reasoning.

I find slide mounted safeties perfectly viable . But Glock has better grip shape, better trigger reach, lighter , and its longevity doesn't have as astrix .

We're humoring the OP for this thread , but this is dangerously close to hackneyed cliche territory. Ask more specific , detaied questions, or flesh out the context of simple questions, and you'll get better answers, only occasionally on humorous tangent .
