You probably came out ahead from $ standpoint , although I would have had more of a Jones for the M27 . Never had a Combat Commander , just the LtWt , but they were the bee's knees in the '80s .

Your can of Unique will continue to serve you well.

Very nice! Getting the same style sights for mine but in green not red. Looks like the fiber optic tube is broken any problems? Did you break it or get it this way? Just curious how durable it is.

It came like that. The pistol has some wear, as did the one I traded.

    Good trade!

Now, start crankin' out the .45ACP, you're gonna need a lot of it. :)

The gentlemen is an older guy with more guns than he knows what to do with. He's a retired cop who does nothing these days but work a part time job and trade guns for sh*ts and giggles. He traded the 29 for a 586. Asked me if I wanted the 586 first....I told him I didn't want to get out of a .357 just to get another .357. He offered the Colt at that time.

He wheels and deals on a site here in NC that I am a moderator on.

    What site is it??

    NICE!!!!!!

What did you trade if you don't mind me asking?

S&W Model 27. I thought it was a keeper.....got bored with it. Wanted something a little different. It was supposed to be a trade for a Model 29, but that didn't work out.

    OMG!!!!!
    If I had only known. . . . .

I would love to get my hands on a S&W mdl 27 (pre-glory hole)!!!

Several years ago, I sold a Colt Combat Commander (old school pistol) w/ S&W K-frame rear sight 'let into' the slide, and red ramp K-frame front sight, fitted barrel bushing and a throated barrel.
It was 100% reliable with everything I fed it.
I kick myself in the arse every time I think about that pistol!!!!
