Pretty excited to be unboxing this Kibler 58 Colonial Rifle kit. Will be my first assembly. Me thinks this cherry stock is going to be gorgeous. :party29:

Very nice! Smooth or rifled? I have a Kibler .58 Colonial smoothbore kit in plain maple sitting in the basement waiting for me to get off my butt and start...

Very cool. Now get started so I can ask you questions if I get stuck :toothless. My plan is to start it sometime next month and hopefully get some fall shooting in before it gets too cold. If not, it will be a nice winter project.

Very nice! I built a rifle from a different kit a couple years ago, and must admit I still half-way wish I'd gone with Kibler. If the Woodsrunner had been out at the time it would have been a no-brainer.

I've been looking at Kibler myself- also cherry! You may have bought one that I've been looking at, so I will also tag along if you don't mind- it's difficult to decide which style and wood to choose. I do like the simple wood grain of the cherry, though

I've been debating on buying one. I would love to see the finished product!
I've also been looking at underhammer kits.

Not the Op and I haven't started my build yet. FYI: Heritage Products has a good rep for flints. They were out of the 7/8 French amber flints awhile back so I ordered the black ones. They got a shipment of the French amber flints if interested. I'm a longtime customer and fan of Track Of the Wolf but the Heritage flints are better shaped than my last order of flints from TOW. Jude is also very responsive to questions:
