Here is my '43 Izzy PU sniper from Classic. Fresh in today. The little, poorly translated, manual says it's being sold as a "hunting rifle". I think that huge stamp near the end of the receiver that reads "KO-91..." was put there by the Russians, and not the importer.

I'm too lazy to go to Myrtle Grove now that Sanners rifle range will probably be open by the end of August. The pistol range should be open by the end of this month. I will post a range report when I do shoot it.

What's with the pics from five feet away?? Scared of that rifle? :D

Let's see the year and maker of the scope. It has the SVT40 body, but if it's dated '43 or later it was purpose made for the PU and not recalibrated from the SVT.

Any line outs for the serial number anywhere? Force matching? Bore condition?

Make sure to test the scope a little by twisting the elevation and windage knobs and watching the reticle move. There have been two scopes with issues from the AIM part of that batch posted on Gunboards. It sounds like you may be waiting over a month to shoot it and that may be a little late to address any problems.

Congrats on a legit sniper...and let's see some close ups!!

What are the rules like at sanners lake? Im closer to myrtle grove but the one shot per second rule and paper targets only gets kind of old.

No, the KO-91 stamp was put there by the firm (Molot) that refurbished these rifles. If you have a reworked SVT scope it will be marked CB on the adjustment knob to show it was recalibrated for the PU sniper. Either way the SVT type scopes are less common than the regular PU scopes. The vast majority of people who bought these have had no problems or issues with them.

Scope is dated 1940. Rifle 1943.
Line out on mag floor. It's been ground/polished.
    The buttplate doesn't match.
Bore is very strong, but dark. May just be very dirty. I have not cleaned it yet.
Wartime stock with the metal just on the bottom of the sling slot.

Should have the CB on the scope turrent adjustment, neat serial number, at least half of the floorplates on these have been lined out, no biggie, it was common for snipers to go through floorplates pretty quick.
