A lot of co-ops becuase of population density often have one transformer per customer to ensure power quality.
Makes for a lot of x-formers
Ancillary material such as cut outs, x arms pin type insulator etc have been short for some time.
Hopefully there will not, be another ice storm this winter like a few years ago.
New service postponement wouldn't bother me unless I was a developer. But, you dont have to set a pad-mount/switching cabinet to keep from burying wire /cable.
No wire if that the case sounds troublesome though. I saw this a few weeks ago where the crew couldnt source either #2 or 1/o wire.
Thats like not having a handful of 22 cartridges to pot a few squirrels when your real hungry,
Pretty common diameter to have on hand if your an electric company.
Maybe they'll have to divert some of those renewable /x mission charges they hit everyone with to buy some pots/free stock from Pepco.

Had my gennies running this weekend. Snow blower too. I run them about once a month, on the outside 2. I also rotate the fuel supply.

I don't have that much time on my hands. I've never taken my snow blower out of it's original crate, everything in the past 3 years has been a shovel issue.

I make time. The first storm that knocked out power and the genny would not start taught me that lesson.

    Thanks for the reminder.
Started my little Generac iq2000 and she runs rough.
Oil looks good and I put non-ethanol gas in it last time.
I'll start with a new spark plug.
    Any other suggestions?

Air filter? Maybe some seafoam? I had a clogged air filter, a mouse got in there and blocked the airflow.

Make sure you have fresh oil & filters on hand, and that you know the oil change interval.

Did anyone bother to read the OP? This only affects NEW CONSTRUCTION so unless you're planning on building a new home, no worries.

It only affects new construction now. Not many big hurricanes this year. First time I have seen something like this in 25 years in the trade. A couple of big snowstorms and who knows?
