Hello,
An old fellow that I do business have this one in his possession and it peaked my curiosity.
I've looked up the serial number and it comes up as a 1849 POCKET (.31 CALIBER WITH STAGECOACH SCENE ON CYLINDER) manufactured in 1858.
From the pictures that I have so far I can see a wheel on top of the cylinder and I take that as potentially being a part of a stagecoach mentioned above.
Looking at other revolvers online they all seem to have a brass color on the grip that seems to be more or less worn of on this specimen, but it has remnants on the trigger guard.
With that said looks to be rather worn or even polished.
That's where my info ends on this piece, so if anyone could chip in with some knowledge regarding rarity and estimated value on something in this condition that would be appreciated.
These are all the pictures I have at the moment, I should be able to get some more.
Thanks,
E
