I was up at camerons last week talking about a purchase and transfer thru ricks. I'm pretty sure he said they charge PA sales tax. I was also talking with another FFL about a transfer from Cabelas in DE and they mention the FFLs are required to collect the MD sales tax on firearms..

So, for anyone that's done a purchase through Camerons->Ricks, did you have to pay 6% to BOTH PA and MD?

I have purchased at Cameron's and used Rick's to transfer. You will only pay PA sales tax on the firearm. Of course it is up to you to pay the MD tax on your out of state purchases come April...I know we all do that. Flat fee at Rick's Gun and Pawn for the transfer, not sure what they charge these days. Good people there at Rick's I recommend using them for the transfer. I'd suggest buying there if they can accommodate what you want. I'm sure they can use the business.
