    Remember, just don't steal more than $950 worth of stuff, and then you don't have to worry about taxes or jail time....

    As long as you report your income from bribes, drug dealing, and stolen property, you are good with the IRS. Take a look at IRS publication 17 for tax year 2023. (https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p17.pdf) Page 74 for bribes, page page 76 for illegal activities like drug dealing, and page 77 for stolen property. You do not have to report stolen property if you return it in the same year that you stole it.
