Beautiful Blackhawk. Just got my C&R in the mail this week and would really like to get a .357 Blackhawk with the 4 5/8 barrel. Gunbroker pickings are pretty slim. Any suggestions?

Thanks, Ken. Very helpful.I lucked out on Gunbroker with mine.
Basically, you'll have to dig through all of the auctions for .357 Blackhawks. They're not always advertised as C&R, and if they are, it probably drives up the price. Only focus on the three screw (pre-72), no prefix serial number ones (pre-68). Then, you'll want to compare the serial number against Ruger's serial number chart. If the serial number dates to 1964 or earlier, then you're good. If it dates to 1965, contact Ruger and ask for the month of manufacturer.

I never ask if a seller will take an FFL03. If they don't say that they won't sell to one, then I assume they will. An FFL03 is an FFL. Most people don't even know what an FFL03 is, so no reason to confuse them. The transfer is legal, that's all they need to know. If they refuse to sell to an FFL03, that's on them.
I'm jealous of the Mle1892! Looks to be in excellent condition.
Here's my contribution: Early Colt M1917 with original holster and half-moon clips. No headspacing in the cylinder.
How much would a pre model 10 cost if you could find one?
Shoo! Gotta find me one of those!Shooter grade ones that are mechanically good are $150-250.

I lucked into the 1892. I'm jealous of your Colt 1917. Both Colt and S&W WWI 1917s are high on my wish list.
