I have a Burris 2x7 on a 22lr Contender and one on a 460S&W revolver. I also have a 3x9 on a 308 Encore pistol but they are no longer made.
They hold up and have great field of view for pistol scopes but are a little on the heavier side. But the FOV and strength more then make up for the extra weight.
I've busted 2 of the 2-7x Burris scopes on my .454 Casull Super Redhawk. Got tired of sending them back for warranty repair so I'm back to iron sights for now.
I've got a silver 2.5x8 Weaver scope on a stainless Ruger MKII Competition Target pistol. It looks kinda cool, but higher magnifications can be distracting because of how much the bullseye appears to move.
Except for long range (for a pistol) hunting applications when you can brace it against a tree, I think a reflex sight is generally more practical.
