buffer tube cover

Can someone please tell me which buffer tube covers are legal in MD since we had to remove the arm braces off our AR pistols? Also can you put anything else on the buffer tube, aside from the cover? Or is it, once can shoulder it with anything, it becomes illegal? Thanks.. this is confusing.

SB mini brace is legal per ATF brace worksheet. Requires a pistol buffer tube.

Didn't they narrow the scope of the injunction to just those directly in the lawsuit?
