My sporting model works so far in the limited use I have brought it out in clays. Maxus is basically a fancier Winchester SX3.

Some people don't like the stock dimensions.

Thank you. I just need someone who bonded or hated it to speak up.

It may surprise you but I have one......

Love it! I hunt it pretty hard it been submerged , frozen , snow covered, in and out of mud, used as a paddle, used it to pull my self out of a belly button deep sink hole a washed it out and it always works!

Feed it every thing from Walmart cheep white box to fed premium never missed a beat it just keeps knocking them down!

Is yours a 3" or 3.5"? I am getting a little tired of the 11-87 up keep.

The Maxus will get just as dirty as any other gas operated autoloader as far as I know.

3" or 3.5" doesn't matter, they all have the same two holes drilled in the barrel along with the same gas piston.

I don't know about shooting big loads, but it cycles my low pressure 7/8 ounce target loads reliably. That's probably about as light as it could cycle, maybe someday I will load up some slow 3/4oz to see what happens.

Mine is a 3.5 I do not shot much 3.5 I don't see a need for it really.
I put that gun thru hell the first season, wanted to work it over real good. And it took it.
I thought the under water off the cost of Maine in saltwater would slow it down, Nope
threw it on the bow and when we got it thawed out put 3 fed #2 3" in it and it cycled fine!

I really don't see the need for 3.5 either but it is nice to have options.

I've noticed a few of them appearing at sporting ranges and they seem to work well. The owners I spoke with had no complaints. I have not seen one used for hunting.
