Brazil had apparently enacted laws in 2002 that make it difficult to get a carry permit. It didn't say in the article, but I'd wager he didn't have a carry permit. Oh well, it's a "reasonable restriction".

He wasn't even old enough to legally own a firearm in Brazil, he was 23, minimum age is 25. Additionally since ALL guns are REQUIRED to be registered (9 MILLION are not) what do you want to bet that this was an unregistered gun?

Great to see how well gun control works in a country with 1/3 the population of the US, 1/10 the guns of the US, yet still has a higher absolute number of firearms homicides yearly.

More gun control must be the answer!

My wife is from Brazil and was just reading news from there. In response to this they are having another gun buy back program. $100-$300 for your gun. :sad20:
