I read another article last evening and that seemed to be the thought. When I saw the headline, I thought it had to do with the big fire.

There is a large fire burning in SNP. Smoke from the fire has even reach the southern part of NOVA.

Has anyone heard anything about a possible connection between her (apparent) suicide and the fire? Seems like a heck of a coincidence.

a lot of weird with this story. kept saying they found her car "abandoned" vs in an actual parking lot/space. then husband etc are back at the firehouse hours away praying for her return vs getting the heck out there on the trails and searching day and night for her. i guess they held back the suicide note finding for some reason.

Last I heard of the husband (yesterday), he was 'not cooperating with police'.

Tonight, I flip through the DC news, and see a story about her with the tagline 'Stabbing Death'.

I'm wondering if that was a directorial error and the wrong text, because very few people (AIUI) 'stab' themselves to death.

Wow I hope they get to the bottom of this. There are some in the fire service that think woman should not be doing that job. To quote the chief go to EHP if it bothers you that much or move on. I responded to a call with two 100 pound EMT woman and a 300 pound patient or the second floor. I just called control to dispatch an engine. End of story. I have no tolerance for bullying since it occurred to me as a child. It has long lasting psychological effects one being if I see kids doing it I stop it. The other is I have always had difficulty making male friends.

I think that was a mistake by the news service that posted the graphic during their report.
