Has anyone eaten at Blackwall Barn and Lodge in either Gambrills or Columbia? What's your take on fare, presentation prices, service?

My wife and i have several times, prices seem high food is good and the service was great. This is at the Gambrills location, it is an upbeat dinning experience.
I like it there for special occasions, i do think weekdays they have dinner specials. We would go back for sure.

I've been to the Gambrills bar a few times at night. Never been disappointed. It is on the more expensive side but drinks and service have been worth it. Can't speak to the food.

Been to gambrils one. Did a good game night meal. Different game meat that was good. Did a couple dinners that were good All precovid. Recently did a sunday brunch with extended family, about a dozen of us. Reservations a must, very crowded bit everyone loved it. Ok bourbon selection by the way. Did a doordash of it during covid but by the time I got it it was cool and soggy.

It's pretty good but as others have said, a little pricey for a quick dinner out.

Blackwall hitch is owned by the same group (i think) and it's also a good experience for less dollars.

We took mom and dad there for their anniversary last year. Food was excellent but the server was struggling to keep up because of some very difficult patrons at next table who were clearly looking to bust her chops, as well as to angle for a free meal.

Then there were the two patrons who were laughing and climbing up on the bar.

I doubt we'll bother in the future.

Had a family thing on outdoor side in Gambrills. Food was great, service was great. Father-in-law paid for it, so I know nothing about the price.
