At the Range Yesterday I was trying to "practice" a little and basically use the BH ammo for my match reloads.
(The Long story is I have about 40-50 pcs of EVERY different brass maker out there but not enough of a single type to make it through a match!)
I had my chronograph set up just to see the SD's of this ammo (BTW not too bad, but could be better)
2 rounds caught my eye in the box. They did not have the reddish sealant that was on all the other primers. The sealant and primers themselves had a bluish color.
THEY WERE HOT! Both had velocities in the 2800++ fps. the recoil and report were noticeable and the brass was split in more than on place on the neck all the way to the shoulder. Primers were flattened more than normal but not horribly bad. I tried to attach a picture of the case necks.
Anyone had this Happen with Black hills?
BTW this is 308 168gr HPBT ammo.
