No pics but have not hatched yet. Mom and Dad still keeping watch and harassing anyone that comes near.
I'm back there likely this weekend. I'll be curious what those things do to keep the chicks quiet.

These birds used to nest on the ramp at Manassas Airport. Nests were usually around the tiedown ropes. I have seen them do the "wing injury" act. We just left them alone and they continued to nest there.

The Barn Swallows have returned and have commenced indoor aerial acrobatic shows and pooping on everything. The Barn Cats are happy because when the birds try to drive the cats out some will get too close and a cat will score. But eventually the stand off will establish itself and both sides will live with an uneasy peace until the eggs hatch and the babies are fledged and the birds head south in the fall.

4 eggs when we arrived Friday and at least 3 hatched today. Here is pic of 2 of them
These things really puffed up much bigger than the eggs.

So, saw all 4 chicks this morning, . Dad bird ran across our little lawn as the dogs were out and drove the dogs away from them as they moved on down the street. and did not see them again before we left in the afternoon.
