Only if Hogan could somehow roll back the laws passed last year. Unfortunately, while the GA gained a couple more Republicans, they are still in a rather small minority. It's possible the effect may be enough to make some think twice about pursuing more gun control anytime soon (although THAT's not a forgone conclusion). However, it's very unlikely any would vote to repeal those laws. While the election of Hogan is a step in the right direction, I expect an attempt to 'Ehrlich' him....i.e. prevent him from having any substantial success. For example, it was Ehrlich who was first pushing for legalized gambling casinos as a revenue raiser. The Dems blocked him and even demonized him over it. A year or so after he was out of office, it became a great idea. I expect similar treatment of Hogan. We shall see.

All that said, gun shows and attendance may grow a bit in the not too distant future as more get their HQLs and people who overspent recover the financial means to resume buying. I expect it will be awhile before this becomes significantly noticeable. Hopefully, at least some gun shows (and gun dealers for that matter) can hang on until things improve somewhat

I would guess yes. You'd have to think these election results would boost somes' enthusiasm. Though maybe not on a grand scale. I would expect at least a slight up-tick. No?

Well when taxes roll back , and economy picks up , disposable income will increase. Some of that will trickle to gun shows.

Short term feel good attendance may be up. But take a friend, new to hand guns to a VA gun show and they see people walking around with their new handgun purchase and they like the idea ... then tell them that since they live in MD There is Livescan, classes, HQL wait, 7 day wait, oh and wait you can't carry it very much if at all. After the explanation of the process a trip to a gun show is a difficult sell. So, I believe G&S personal protection will be the next good move for gun shows.

Nope, not going to make a difference. I'm not sure why, but many of you seem to think that 2a rights are at the top of Hogan's to-do list.....I think it's pretty far down that list.

Bart, good luck at that auction. From my experience people pay stuipd prices at most of these auctions. Seen guns go for 25% more than what they could be bought for retail at Bass Pro or Cabellas.

    Free?? State
Ironically, the fear of a Gun Grab by Democrats is what sells guns lately. If folks think the will be able buy whenever, they put it off.

What??? THat ^^^ one??? It must be a P-17 with a JA barrel. I don't see how anyone could have changed the caliber of the same barrel from 30/06 to .257, but you jus' don't know.

I don't see how the two are related. I don't go to gun shows anymore because there are no savings to be found, one has to pay to get in, and I don't care to see booths that sell beef jerky, old pocket knives, and old accessories that nobody wants.

Shooters Discount excluded I pretty much feel the same way. Thinking back 10 years or so yes I enjoyed them but many more deals could be found and many more tables were present.

That's been the trend over the past 5 or 6 years it seems. Until that time I was able to steal some great deals, not so much anymore.:sad20:

Lol, which is why I had it under scrutiny. Maybe it WAS a rebuild with a JA and has some arsenal markings and THEN it was converted to 257 Roberts. Like I said, if it's still in 06 I'll play, preview is at 4......... let you know when I get back! :D

I've been only going to the Oaks show in Phoenixville for the last few years.

I dont see hordes of PA residents buying lots of firearms either. The prices of most firearms that interest me are of no savings considering Oaks costs like $12 a person to get in.

Go to a large PA gun shop like Trop on a weekend, there will be quite a few people buying guns for the good prices they have.
