I was using one of these before I switched to a prism sight. It has a 3 moa dot that is nice and bright and doesn't flair as much compared to the Vortecs and others I have tried.Looking for a decent red dot sight for my ar15 under $200 since my eyes aren’t what they used to be.
^this. Your best option at the price point mentioned no doubt. That said, the Sig Romeo5 is pretty tough to beat at around $125 (used to be able to find them for under $100). I’d still go with the Holosun personally since budget allows.I like the Holosun 403c or 403c-gr. Solar and shake awake, 50,000 hr battery life.
Because if you have a gun with a red dot installed on it, it shows what kind of sight it is. Duh.Whats this have to do with gun shows?

Do you notice a slightly negative magnification with yours or does it seem like a true zero magnification?Vortex Spitfire. Prism. Sits on my 300BLK home defense rifle.
Two etched black circles are always visible. Great for folks with oldish eyes. Makes for very fast target acquisition.
Red/Green. Six brightness settings for each. E/W caps with built-in screw drivers.
150 on sale at Midway USA. So good I bought two.
Yes...still a bit over $200. I just placed an order for the Primary Arms SLx 1X MicroPrism Scope - Green Illuminated ACSS Cyclops Reticle - Gen II for $212. It's on backorder from Primary Arms, however, with an estimated ship date of June if you're willing to wait. Not only do I have old eyes, but I'm also afflicted with astigmatism. Unfortunately, I have the starburst effect with all my red dots including my Sig Sauer Romeo 5. So fingers crossed that a prism scope will work out.all mentioned so far are solid bets. I have them all. If you can get one on sale the Primary Arms Six 1x Microprism would be a good choice also. But still probably a little bit over $200.
I just ordered the PA SLx 1x in green also. I didn't want to wait so I got mine from Sportsman's. They were in stock at $250.Yes...still a bit over $200. I'm glad I got the same scope a couple of months ago. I love the SLx micro prisms for the same reason, I have old astigmatic eyes. I have a GLx 1x on order for my 300 BO dissent pistol. I have switched all of my red dots over to the GLx scopes and now I enjoy shooting them much more.Yes...still a bit over $200.
