Succuesful National/ International forums will generally have a core focus, with varying degree of discussion of related subjects , usually from a perspective of the core intrest.

For discussion of wide ranging topics more or less equally usually found focused on State or Regional basis.

Md Shooters is one of the better, and have a fair amount of members from outside of Md borders. Likewise our neighbors at PAFOA.

I read the Practical Riflery forum (geared towards handloading for rifles) and I read The High Road forum, which is actually how I found out about MD Shooters; back in the "old" days.

I am looking for a gun forum that is nation wide and has all rifles most sites are for one specific type. all the ones i join that are all guns seem to die out.

In general, Glocktalk is a pretty decent forum. It has over 160,000 members including an Ask The Expert section with guys like Zak Smith and Mas Ayoob answering questions. They have one of the best 1911 sections of any gun board.

gunboards.com is great for older rifles. I've gotten more info on the CETME and SMLE there than anywhere else. They were originally started as a Mosin collector site.

This is the best all-around gun forum I've ever been to. I also have login's on:

ar15.com (Snap-On dealership)
rimfircentral.com (really good, but for rimfire only)
beyond556.com (good info source for oddball calibers, but not a huge membership)
1911forum.com (a lot like ar15.com, except for 1911's)
brianenos.com (good for competitive shooters, but not a big membership)
snipershide.com (very narrow shooting interest, but a lot of knowledge on that forum)

The only forum I check every day is this one.
