    Why not just get a garand ane get it converted you could probably get two plus convereions and still have a lot of cash left over for ammo

    You can get the bm59 kit from sarco, get a m1 reciever and build one. But you need to mill out the reciever to accept a mag.

    I wouldn't try it personally I would send it to Schuff's he does this stuff all the time and everyone loves his work. I have have seen a few that have attempted the conversion and it turns into a money pit and never really runs right.

    I agree it's complicated, but my buddy john did his and it ran 100% the day at the range. Me and my other friends put prob 250 rounds through it. Was a blast to shoot.
    I think my only issue with having it does by shuffs is that the reciever cost 200-225. Then adding 500+ for the work by him really brings up the bottom line. If I screw the first one up and do a second, I'd still be cheaper so long as I don't fudge the second:lol2:
