What they call modern is mainly junk and hardly appropriate for any real combat. Nobody in his right mind would use a double bitted axe in combat. That is mainly an S&S or fantasy thing. They are good only for mounting on walls. Now a spike on the reverse is OK as they are a good thing to have in combat between armored horsemen.
