One of the thousands of emails I get showed a Howa barreled action available in 6.5 and .308. I'd like to get one, have the barrel cut and threaded, and put it in a handgun chassis. Since it's a barreled receiver, I can still make it a handgun, correct? I've always wanted an XP-100 but they're out of production, so this will be the closest thing to it I can get now. Thanks.

    Yes.

Example of this is the Pork Sword.

So, I guess as long as it wasn't a rifle, but only a barreled action, one can do this(without it being an SBR?). Very interesting. Not for me, but interesting, none the less.
