Hmm...was not aware that 1st Amendment protected rights of peaceful assembly had age limits.

Yes, I realize that the city has a crime problem and that said crime problem has significant foci in the younger population. However, curtailing fundamental civil rights is a misguided effort in attempting to curtail crime.

Step into any high school in the country and you will be disabused of the notion that civil rights truly exist for minors. They're only granted by whim by The Powers That Be, and can be whisked away by fiat without justification. Not the best method to training an active, engaged, or responsible citizenry.

Well aware of that situation; it is just another of the reasons why my wife homeschools our children. There are times when I look back and realize that my public school education was vastly different in the late 1980's from that which is provided for our nation's children today.

I guess I was under house arrest the entire time I lived at home with my parents. What a rough childhood it turns out I had.
