well i just got back from the range.
i wish i could say things went 100% but they didnt.

    rounds fired:
    100 rds cci mini mags
    100 rds blazer lrn
    200 rds rem golden bullets
    200 rds winchester black bullets

    600 rds total.

first the rifle is heavy, more that needed for a .22 rifle, so, no recoil.
i had to shoot with kentucky elevation as the slider was missing on the rear sight. (this way when i bought it but didnt notice until i got home and the teardown inspection) see pic.
i had to hold 6 inches high at 10yds.

the winchester was the star of the show as far as accuracy.

now the main issue was the last round of the mag which would fail to chamber getting trapped by the slide bending the rounds. see pic.
maybe a mag issue. this happened a third of the time. it didnt matter what ammo i used.

the other pics are before cleaning and after shooting.
i'll be giving ati a call tuesday to see what they can do.

Ok. That bend thingy to the rounds? GUN GOING BACK, MONEY COMING HOME.

Any weapons that leaves the manufacturer that does that it's going back permanently.

not uncommon on 22 semi autos. it happened to me quite a bit through the first 800 or so rounds with my 15-22. i thought it was a mag issue because it was always the same spot in the mag, but testing told me otherwise. For me it was an ammo and break in issue, it went away after about 900 rounds and I found what it liked best. throw a few more rounds down the pipe and see if it keeps happening. Also try some federal bulk, it cycled most effectively in my .22 semis (even more so than the expensive cci types i tried)

Good luck with it. Where did you get yours? I am interested in getting one.
As for a previous post on breaking in, I also have an M&P 15-22 that I recently took to the range for the first time and put several hundred rounds through with zero issues. I did have a few rounds not go off but had good primer hits but that is not uncommon with .22.
Did you clean the rifle first and lube up good prior to shooting the first time?

i got it at the gettysburg show from Gary at:
    High Rock Outfitters Inc.
2671 Baltimore Pike UNIT A Hanover, PA 17331
    Phone Number: (717)-479-6494
    Email: highrockguns@gmail.com or gruby62@hotmail.com

i did the normal cleaning and inspection prior to shooting it.
if you search issues with this rifle, it seems there are more last round mag issues out there. i hope ati takes care of this.

    Lee,
I'm curious, what capacity mag did it come with? I've wondered if you buy one in PA would the dealer remove or exchange 25 rd mags for MD purchasers? Or do they look the other way and hand it over to you after the paper clears?

they should give it to you if you buy in PA, its completely legal to do so.

thats crazy man, i hope they get it right. somebody really dropped the ball on that particular gun. out of the big american brand .22's i've seen alot of ammo related trouble (ftf, fte, etc.), but you used good ammo and many different types, that's got to be very disappointing.
