Here is my take on the matter of MJ use. If they make it legal and it doesn't affect my rights, I am going to at least try the oil to see if it helps my arthritis. As I write this, I have my feet in a bucket of hot water which helps a little. I also have lidocaine patches on a couple of bad joints.

I'm not saying this for sympathy, I am just saying that I am at the point where I would try some of that stuff. I have been told by other people with Osteoarthritis that using the oil works for them. I really hope they let us off the hook because the pain never gets less without doing something.

I am probably mistaken but, I didn’t think the oil actually has ‘THC’ in it … and iirc it is the ‘THC’ in the marijuana plant that is actually the illegal compound …

Oh, there is oil with plenty of THC in it.

When was the last time you were out in the sun?

I've been a daytime slave to a chair/truck seat for the last 5+ years without any quantifiable sun exposure. Knees have been killing me lately. I got a good shirtless burn on my back Tuesday and the knees actually feel almost normal today.

I'm outside every day since I retired. I don't get to play much anymore but I always take my wife to an airport, park or restaurant weather permitting.

I think the biggest issue you will have is not the quality but what ingredients (cannabinoids) were in the solution your rheumatologist sold you. There are several larger companies that manufacture CBD products that undergo lab testing to verify the ingredients in the oil are what is printed on the label. Google is your friend here.

Unfortunately, the CBD stores around MD seem to cater to folks looking for the edge products (like Kratom) and usually don't have knowledgeable staff w.r.t. medical CBD.

Ask for CBD and ensure it's not a 'high CBD' product - a ratio of CBD:THC that some patients helpful and will cause a positive urinalysis.

There are several vet-owned places online as well.

Thanks for the replies. Seems there isn't a standard for CBD quality. I've tried a few recommended brands with less than acceptable results. I'll keep doing the research.
