I shot it with a muzzle brake so it was quite excessive, I think with the proper suppressor and sub sonic AS-007 it could be down to suppressed 22LR db levels. Unfortunately too large for a pistol but would make for a sweet SBR.

My understanding is that due to legality/lethality you’re limited to no more than 20 rounds at a time, a box of 20 weighs close to 30lbs.

Was wondering if they were going to make "horizontal" firing ammo, as all the pics upthread suggest these are "vertical only" variants. If these are the steerable/seeker types that Gene Simmons described in his documentary, I guess initial firing direction wouldn't matter.

I keep hearing that the round name is a nod to James Bond. But I've also heard that during a test firing of the styphnate ignited 7000 grain bunker buster hollow point into a full pallet of cinder blocks, the terminal concussive force was so powerful that only 7 of the 90 blocks remained intact, with the rest largely turned to demolished chunks and sand!

Still not sure about the name. But by any name, that's some serious power!

I've given up on shooting rifles that are so heavy that I need the missus to help me lift them. I can't even count the number of camera tripods I've destroyed trying to hold these things steady.

No thanks, from now on it's just 22 shorts out of a 5 lb bolt action for me. Especially the "quiet" ones.
