I have a brand new 1-9 chrome lined 16.1" Heavy Barrel that came with my upper DPMS upper. It weighs a monster 2lbs 8.6oz. I quickly swapped it out for a much lighter M4 profile (1lbs 13.oz). Now I have this barrel and am not sure what to do the with it. So here are my questions:

    1. Is it more cost effective to have a gunsmith re-profiled to a M4 or super-light 14.5" ?

    2. Who dose work like this and where?

    3. Should I just try to sell it and buy a barrel for my second build?? Not sure if there is much of a market for these outdated heavy barrels anymore.

    What do you guys think??

sell it.. it will probably cost more than the actual barrel to redo the profile and make it lighter.
