Apt or room for rent Richmond-Fredericksburg?

Well my 3 month project in Richmond has been going on for a year and now it has been extended for another year. I have to go down there weekly (not every day thankfully) but I am looking to see if I can rent a small apartment or a room so that I can use it for the night or two per week that I have to spend there, instead of paying for a hotel each time. I figure that renting a small apartment for an entire month at a time will cut down the cost of a handful nights of hotel rooms per month.

I am searching online already, but wanted to ask if anyone local knows of a good place I would appreciate a heads up. I am looking for a month-to-month lease if possible. Thanks!
