I emailed the MSP about it yesterday, here is their response.


"Please understand that MSP has up to 90 days to complete the wear and carry application review. Your application was accepted 3/20/2024 (email sent) and is processing normally. You will be contacted via email when final disposition has been made. Thank you for your patience in this matter."

So I guess I need to chill out.

Based on MANY comments throughout this thread, you should be approved sometime between 4/24 and 4/30; between 35 and 40 days from date of acceptance.

Yeah, same here I submit it 2/25 got accepted on 3/1 NICS 3/5 I received my letter from CJIS mines, went from ready for investigation back to accepted

When you guys get you approval, post up the permit number. It will have a dash and be I the 218k 219k+ range. XX out the last digits. Only the last two please. That way we can track the number of permits.
You can hit print in the your portal to see more info including the permit number.

It has been running about 37-45 days from initial “accepted” date to “approved”.
The “are we there yet?, are we there yet?, are we there yet?” inquiries prior to 90 days are, likely, just an annoyance that slows them down.

Best advice is to stop checking so often. Take a look once 45 days has passed since initial “accepted” date.

I just completed my renewal training (submitting in early June). Will be interesting to see if renewal times are shorter than initial apps with the initial surge of Bruen year permits coming up for renewal in the next few months. Understood that the birth month expiration will stagger it a bit. Also seems to be some evidence in this thread that they may be shorter turnaround. Curious if the increase in renewals impacts that.

The Queue in the Portal is first in-first out.

Your renewal will be processed in order with initial apps accepted the same day (+/- a day), they are checking exactly the same sets of criminal data bases whether you are a first time applicant or doing your tenth renewal.

Yeah, his approval date should be like around 22or23rd of MAY it only took mines 42 days from my acceptance date to approval

I'm wondering will it be faster cause he apply for the HQL first couple a months ago....
