Time from NICS to approved varies and, historically, has been insignificant with regard to overall processing time.

The comparative tracking markers are “accepted” and “approved”.

I was hoping to get approved this week but it looks like I’m fvcked again. My NICS was 2/4 so should be within a week or so. (Accepted date = 1/25)

My nics was 1/31 but the next time I checked it was 2/6

So I am hoping I am getting close also!!

That’s so weird. If you failed or something I’d have thought you’d have gotten an immediate disapproval of your application. Not sure what explains being NICS checked 2x.

If I get approved before you, I’d say you got moved to the back of the line at some point between those two NICS checks.

So, last night, 2/24, I got an email saying my application had been “Assigned to an Investigator” and they would be reaching out to me to conduct an interview. If I don’t hear from them in 30 days, then I can email them.

I thought interviews were no longer required. Seems to be a long time between NICS and this email. Anyone have an idea on what is going on?

News to me… if it wasn’t a mistake only thing I can think of is something may have come up that they need clarification about…

Lovely. Could be because I am out of state, veteran, etc. Who knows. Been a month since my NICS check so was hoping to get approval shortly.

Trying to get the permit so I don’t have to disarm at the Potomac when we visit our property in MD.
