I’m thinking of buying a pistol so my NICS gets done sooner, anyone seen that occur?

I bought a pistol mid Oct and they reran NICS on Oct 28 for the HGP.

funny you mention that. I actually picked up my pistol a day after my approval. I have never been so excited to rush home and open my mailbox. lol. Fingers cross

Won't make any difference in your Permit approval. Might make a difference if you need a reason to get approval from a significant other for buying something.

Dude. I submitted 9.7, just got nics letter last week, portal still says awaiting assignment to investigator.

Same weird stuff happened with my HQL. Took me 2 months to get it.

Ok I am new here and I know some where this has been answered but I can't find it. If I got an email on Oct. 31 telling me I got a letter coming in 7 to 10 days. Then I check the status of my permit and It said application approved. Will my permit be in with this letter?

I'm 9/1 and just got the approval email a few minutes ago 11/4. updated in the spreadsheet

you wouldn't have gotten an email for NICS, you would have had to keep checking your application on the "print application" page to see it
