Good news for us 9/5ers I got my NICS date last night even though the accepted to approved dates are still climbing a bit but not as bad as it looked a month ago, MSP seems to be doing a good job keeping up with them.

Little more stats, looking at approvals since 10/04 average accepted to approved days are 60, since 10/20 that number has increased to 62 days over the last 2 weeks

I paid almost $500 in total for the class, fingerprints and application, that could be a barrier of entry for many would be applicants.

I paid almost $500 in total for the class, fingerprints and application, that could be a barrier of entry for many would be applicants.

I think once the initial surge is over prices will fall but in the short term the exact opposite is happening. Prices are holding steady or rising. That 16 hour class time is a cash cow.

Did some quick math
For simplicity sake, I assume ~100k permits in the pipeline * $300/class is $30,000,000. Not bad for a couple months of work.

Fingerprint guys made a cool $5 mil. if $50 a pop for their services.

Application fees generated $7.5M
