As is clear by now, I'm a nerd with this stuff. You're just looking at permit numbers and assuming (logically) that they're going in sequential order? We should start tracking approval rates in the main spreadsheet as best as possible.

day to day is noisy, but longer term totals (week to week) should give a better picture. we are now rolling over the third digit every two days (05Yxxx)

You might not get the email assigned to an investigator or in the portal. Mine went from accepted to approved with nothing other than the NICS number showing up in between.

I find it interesting that there's no rhyme or reason for how processing occurs.

I submitted earlier by 6 days, got accepted on the same day, but my NICS wasn't until August 14th, which means that for some reason it sat for the better part of 3 weeks, and it's been stagnant since.

Looking at recent posts, it looks like it is, currently, running about 18-19 days between NICS and approved.
