Checking mine just now it has todays date on the NICS line, no # yet. 7/27 acceptance

What date is everyone referencing? Directly to the right? I submitted the 17th and got accepted 28th and have 7-28 next to it but still don’t have a number.

Don't worry so much about NICS. It'll get done and doesn't seem to have any affect on approval time.

I showed the app to my boss, he thought for a second that I was serious.

I'm lucky, my boss is a really good guy.

My shift supervisor is a good guy but the chief is a doofus. The problem with federal is that occasionally people reach command positions based heavily on a DD214 and preference points without having the relevant job experience. (Did X but chosen to lead Y)

Congrats man......for reference, its the NICS date that got a little out of sync. I trailed you by 2 days and trailing the same 2 days would have put the NICS on a Sunday. So I guess its going to be Tuesday or Thursday next week for me.

Right now they are processing them strictly by acceptance date. As the backlog piles up, they will have to reorder and process by submitted date (which is really what they should be doing) in order to beat the 90 day cliff. And/or hire about 10 more people to approve apps.
