Anyone Live in Halethorpe?

Specifically the part(s) west of Rt. 1? I am thinking of buying a house there but thought I would see if anyone could give me a heads up about crime, traffic, other problems, etc. Things the realtor can't/won't tell me.

For the most part. With him coming from Laurel, it will feel like Mayberry...LOL

You might think so but I actually live in Russett, the nice, calm, high brow part of Laurel. I mean, we only had one murder last year.

I'm in the general area, it's fairly quiet. Crime in the area is usually stealing out of a shed or car, not much else.

Ashbourne Rd isn't bad. There are some rental properties down towards the Oakland Rd end, but I haven't heard of any problems down there. Oakland Rd isn't bad either, it does go up into Wynnewood, which isn't that bad either.

Most of the traffic is downtown Arbutus.

True, most of the "crime" is just teenagers doing stupid shit. Not real crime as far as I am concerned.

Do you have kids, are you looking at schools?
