I am planning to drive up on Saturday. ( nothing else to do in 20* 16mph wx )

I need to buy powder and the last time I was there they really only had fast pistol or slow rifle. They didn't have powders like 2400, H-110, 3031, RL7, Accurate #9.

Just wondering if it has gotten any better.

Also, what is the name of that reloading store off Dupont Highway south of the airport.

    Thanks,

    John

PS I cross posted this in the DE forum.

I am planning on going Thursday night . I can let you know then.
Please don't go to the store by the airport (called Millers) don't know how he is in Business but he is anti gun. Go to X-Ring it's a little closer and a lot more friendly.

I know well about Millers. I used to be a customer until they supported a bad law.

Is X ring supply the place I am thinking of on Dupont Highway?

    Regards,

    John

No that sounds like Millers , X-Ring is on RT 273 :) across from Lowes. Only a hour north , Oaks is having a show this weekend :D

    Frogman,

I did some research and found that the place I was thinking of was Shooter's Supply on 13. From what I read, the business has closed permanently.

    Regards,

    John

Ahh never heard of them (Shooters Discount) . I only knew of Millers and X-Ring in the area

X Ring is at 2201 Ogletown Rd Newark DE

I think you guys are mixing up names. Shooter' Supply used to be on route 13 in Delaware.

Shooter's Discount is in Mount Airy, MD and is run by a cantankerous old curmudgeon.

(just checking to see if Lou is listening in)

Shooters Choice is in Dover, above the Mall, their primary business is their range and selling memberships. I was shocked on their gun prices and what few reloading supplies and ammo. Just keep heading north to Cabelas.

As far as Cabelas, you can live with their primer and powder prices while ammo pricing is higher than going to a gun show.

Cabelas is 4 sale, they turned down a bid from Bass Pro so hope they don't close the DE store.

I think shooters discount was that building with an odd low roof on the right going north.

Thats right, that place was a shit hole and has been closed for a couple years now but it was called shooters supply I think..

    X-Ring is awesome.

Might be worth it for ship to store and pick it up another time. I've stopped randomly three times on the way home and came back empty each time. I've had better luck driving the other direction to Green Top.

If you want to go further Village Arms in Gap, PA carries a good selection of powder. I may stop there Saturday after Rough and Tumble's Mid Winter Get Together if I do I'll give a report. It won't be in time for your trip but may help someone else.

Gun show ammo prices must be lower on the shore. In my neck of the woods it is very easy to beat gun show prices at Cabelas.

They had lots of ammo sales in December, plus I had several 20% off coupons, couple that with no sales tax and their ammo was a very good deal.

Love shopping at Cabelas. Hope they are not forced to sell out to Bass Pro.
