My sycamore trees always drop leaves first but they are early and dropping like crazy now.

Apples all falling along with leaves the past two weeks. Dogwood tree losing all its leaves also. Noticed tomato and cucumber plants yellowing also when I just was out back picking. Winter is right around corner

    Yep.
Hope that it don't get as cold this winter as it was hot this summer.

I can take 100 degrees better than can 20.

Dogwoods always turn first. They are some of the first trees to bud out in the spring.

I listen for the crickets. They are harbingers of autumn.

Some dropsies, for sure, but I haven't seen "turning" yet.

Birds are acting funny, though. Starting to clump up a little early.

Also saw a large nursery group of deer at a park today. Bucks seem to have stepped away??

    Crickets are starting, too.

Leaves are definitely starting to change, the insect sounds are starting to sound like Fall, my Lab is getting a little excited on our evening walks, and the kiddies went back to school today...Fall is upon us.

Some trees are starting. Hackberry tress looks like crap from the drought. Bush Honeysuckle leaves are full but hanging do to lack of water. Seedlings and trees shedding leave from the drought. Hackberry had a lot of berries this year, black oaks out here full of nuts. Maybe a hard winter coming. I have hoped that before and never seen it.
