Does anyone know where I can find some land for lease at a fair price for deer hunting? It's me and a friend. Central maryland is good, but rifle counties are best. Thanks for any help.

I've got family with more acreage than anyone could ever hunt. However one property is 7 hours away in Wyoming County West Virginia and the other is 6 hours away in Ohio. Either way, I'm too old and grumpy to drive that distance to hunt. So I've got my back yard with conservation land behind that and the kindness of friends to let me hunt their property.

I would probably forget about this year and start looking just after the season is over in 2015.

If you really want to hunt this year, some of the public land is worth hunting. I've taken a few good deer from public land. If you're hunting for meat and not horns, you can find yourself with a few pounds of venison in your freezer.

    Good Luck!
