    Just a friendly reminder:

As of today, Saturday June 29th, Electronic Control Devices (Tasers, stun guns, etc.) are now legal in Anne Arundel County. (Ref: http://www.aacounty.org/CountyCouncil/Resources/2013/18-13.pdf)

They do remain illegal in the city of Annapolis however so be careful. (Ref: http://library.municode.com/HTML/16...WE.html#TIT11PUPEMOWE_CH11.44WE_11.44.070ELWE)

Other places in the state which still ban ECDs:

    Baltimore City: § 115
    Baltimore County: § 17-2-104
    Harford County: § 260-3
    Howard County: § 8.404

Am I reading this thread, and associated links, correctly?
    1. ECD (Tazer) is legal in AA County.
    2. ECD is NOT legal in Annapolis.
    3. An ECD can be purchased and used within AA County WITHOUT a background check, NICS check, anal probe, etc...
My MIL who lives in Shady Side is champing at the bit to purchase one, and asks daily if it is legal, and how to buy (I know the answer to this one)

If you buy it in the state, you may have to go through a background check. If you buy it through the mail, you don't.

I seem to remember reading something in the State law that infers passing a background check to sell or operate or words to that effect.

    Regards,

    I do occasionally carry a combo StunGun/Flashlight.

Are you carrying concealed or openly? What are the reactions you are getting from people around you?

I sent an email to the AG office for AACO, and they stated MD law requires the taser to be carried open. I found it strange that they would want us to carry them openly as opposed to concealed.
