I actually sold off 500 rounds of PMC .223 Bronze for what I paid for it ($.50/rd) then 2 days later wandered into my local Walmart and found 3 100 rd boxes of Fed .223 for $36/each (actually had 5 left but we all know the 3 box limit). 2 weeks ago I managed to find 450 rounds of 9mm between 2 WMs. So the ammo shortage is easing some. I notice prices are down some at PSA and CTD.

There are a lot of places really sticking to this 1 box value pack limit. I was in Bass Pro the other night and found some 9mm 100 rd vp's for 28 bucks with tax included. They allowed me one box, and that was it, which left more on the shelf for the next guy. Which I don't mind, because I buy to shoot not horde and this helps shooters, not hoarders. I don't know about you all, but I would prefer to shoot on a regular basis, and do it without breaking the bank. Is it inconvenient being limited to one value pack? You could say so, sure no doubt. Or is it even more inconvenient to stop at that same store and leave with nothing because people who are not even shooting are buying it all to resell or hoard? I prefer to leave with ammo in hand to shoot, so right now I'm good with the limitations.

For the last three days, Cabela's doesn't have a limit on the number of Win Value pack in .45.

CTD no limit on Hornady .25 XTP $17 a box, about the same as a year ago

Except many people will not give Cheaper Than Gold any business at all. Due to there SERIOUS gouging over the past few months.

Not that I bought a ton from CTD, but will never buy from them again. I have not even been to their site in 3 months due to their gouging.

I, or (my wife), bought from CTD at Christmas because all I had to do was give her a catalog with stuff circled. Simplicity. After they tried to almost keep my ammo for ransom last Christmas, we are done with them regardless of their prices. I do stop by Walyworlds often, and have picked up a little 7.62x39 to replenish my SKS stock I shot up last time, and one box of Tula 9mm. Found 2 boxes of Federal 9mm a few weeks ago at one WM. Nothing since. Walmart is convenient, and as much as I like my local gun shops, some have odd hours and are a little far. Working 8-5ish, then picking up son from daycare by 6. Wife works weekends, so WM is a convenient alternative. And it's always been a great opportunity if I have to run there for milk, bread, sunblock, paper towels, etc. While I don't particularly favor the job of buying ammo at WM over my friendly LGS, sometimes it's all I got.

The past 3 times I have been to Bass Pro in Arundel Mills I have left with 9mm, and they had plenty other pistol calibers available, along with a ton of 22lr. Today they have plenty of 250 rd Remington UMC 9mm mega packs (75 bucks with tax) and 50 rd boxes too.

Yep yep I paid 19.99 for a box of 325 federal autoshot 22lr in Columbia wm last week. Pretty sure they were 16 or 17 bucks recently. I agree in regard to ctd, they dug their own grave.

Alright, I will probably smack my head after finding this out, but what does CTD stand for?

Edit to add: Just figured it out on my own. Cheaper Than Dirt.

Yeah, will not be buying from them ever again after their price gouging. Not that I could have bought 30 round mags from them, but they had them listed for $100 in January. Ammo has been priced rather high too. Question is whether it costs it more to purchase the ammo from a distributor or if it is buying directly from the manufacturer at standard pricing? I would assume the latter, and that it could meet the prices of, or at least come close to, Walmart.
