At a locksmith association board meeting last night, during a discussion before hand over dinner, the subject came up about guns. (Typical) A couple of the guys there were adamant about there being some kind of a limit on how much ammunition one can possess in MD.

According to them, you can only possess up to 1,000 rds per caliber.

I've never heard of this before. Is this true? Or were these guys mistaken?

Maryland does not allow more than 1000 rounds of any given caliber to be stored in a private residence. Any excess MUST be store in an Approved Ammunition Storage Facility. Here's the list of AAS Facilities in Maryland.
