AK47 Ownership from out of state ? is it legal to own and possess in Maryland

Hey everyone Im Moving to Maryland soon and was wondering that if I purchased an AK47 in another state would i be able to legally have it with me or am i going to have to get rid of it

If so, it's grandfathered, and you may register it with the State Po Po.

If not, it is banned, and you may not register it.

ak47 to me means 7.62x39 so no.

If its in any other cal believe it or not youre good. Ak pistols are legal as well in 762 which it makes it even more hilarious.

Dunno if owning it prior to 2013 for an out of state'r applies...

Honest questions...

Without a receipt, how would one prove date of purchase? Who's responsible for proving this date? Face to face sales of long guns without documentation is/was a thing in the USA.

[I know S/N can be used to prove manufacturing date, so that can be used.]

Oh it can be transferred but the price is higher than most current owners want to pay.

Certain brands and models manufactured in certain years . Certian Importers import certain models in certain year ranges .

Plus , an individuals must be of plausible age to have legally purchased pre 2013 . As the years go by this becomes more of a factor . Just like claimed to have aquired a handgun in private transaction , you would have to be minimum of 48 y.o.
