I'm not sure of his familiarity of the AK but our own MDS member wjt1169 "Triple Bravo" can definitely set you straight with the duracoat and some nice pictures to boot!

Check under industry partners for Mid-county gunshop...it's a short ride over the bay bridge and he does a lot of custom AK builds if I remember correctly.

I used Overland Industries to build an AMD-65 kit on a Nodak Spud receiver for me and Gary did a beautiful job. He is located in Lake Havasu Arizona, so shipping was slow and expensive, but I am very happy with the job that he did.
