Ak 47 pistol

Need a little help. I'm trying to Install the tapco retaining plate and can't get the safety to rotate all the way up to remove it. It has the full auto safety and hits the disconnector. Do I need to remove the trigger ?

After adding the booster some acetone ,sanding and staining I think it turned out ok

I don't believe you need to remove the trigger

Man that looks badass. I know nothing about AK's. What specific model/brand is that? Was it hard to SBR? I'm starting to do research on AK pistols now and hoping to get one by Christmas. I much prefer a rifle than a pistol so SBR would also be in my future.

It's a zastava m92pv, imported by century arms, and SBR form 1 by my trust.

What color stain did you use to get that Red. I like.

Minwax Cabernet 5 coats then 3 coats of spray polyurethane. Lightly sand with 400 grit sandpaper after each coat of minwax and remove any dust. Takes a lot of time but it's worth it
